Service Description
Looking for a welcoming, family-friendly venue for your next celebration, community gathering, workshop, or special event? Our venue offers exclusive access to a range of indoor and outdoor spaces, providing a flexible setting for guests of all ages. Your hire includes private use of four key areas of Stage Room (main hall), Undercover Deck, Kitchenette, Outdoor Playground. With ample off-street parking and a beautiful outlook over the Andrew Yandell Reserve, our venue is ideally suited for birthday parties, family celebrations, community events, meetings, workshops, and small group functions. Stage Room The Stage Room is a spacious indoor area of approx. 80m², comfortably accommodating up to 40 seated guests and includes Polished hardwood flooring with Mirror wall Heating and cooling Chalkboard-painted wall for creative activities or presentations 6 standard trestle tables & 5 small height-adjustable trestle tables with 38 chairs Outdoor Playground The child-friendly playground provides a safe and engaging space for children. Please note: Food and drink consumption is not permitted within the playground area. Kitchenette The kitchenette is available for your event and includes access to: Refrigerator Kettle Urn Microwave Bench-top oven Bench-top oven/air fryer Undercover Deck The deck overlooks the beautiful landscape of Andrew Yandell Reserve and offers a comfortable outdoor gathering space with: Weather-protective shade-cloth blinds Plumbed sink Hardwood table and chairs The deck can be enjoyed comfortably in a variety of weather conditions. Capacity and Accessibility Maximum venue capacity: 75 guests One wheelchair-accessible bathroom available Plenty of off-street parking for guests and participants Hire Details Fees Total Hire Fee: $330 per day Refundable Bond: $200 Booking Deposit: $130 The booking deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable and will be deducted from the total hire fee. Hire Period Venue hire is available on a daily basis only. Hire hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Hourly hire is not available. Early access, extended hire periods, and day-before bump-in access are not available. Important Conditions of Hire To ensure the venue remains enjoyable and safe for all users, the following conditions apply: An in-person induction tour is mandatory during the week of your event. Cancellation Policy
Please read the full terms & conditions from https://www.ghnh.org.au/weekend-hire-terms-and-conditions [Cancellations and Changes] Any cancellation or request to alter a booking must be submitted in writing at least fourteen (14) days before the booked date. Requests should be emailed to admind@ghnh.org.au & coordinator@ghnh.org.au. The $130 booking deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of cancellation. [Venue Management and Right to Cancel or Amend Bookings] Greenhills Neighbourhood House reserves the right to cancel, postpone or amend a venue hire booking where required due to emergency circumstances, safety concerns, maintenance issues, compliance requirements, government directions, operational needs, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Where practical, Greenhills Neighbourhood House will provide reasonable notice of any cancellation or change to a booking. In the event that Greenhills Neighbourhood House cancels a booking, all hire fees and bond monies paid by the Hirer will be refunded in full. Greenhills Neighbourhood House will not be liable for any indirect costs, losses or expenses incurred by the Hirer arising from the cancellation or amendment of a booking. [Cleaning Requirements] The venue must be left in the same clean and safe condition in which it was provided. All rubbish must be removed from the site and taken home. Dishes must be washed, dried and put away. Tables and chairs must be returned to their original locations. Floors must be vacuumed and wet mopped. All lights, heaters and electrical appliances must be turned off and the premises locked upon departure. [ Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking ] The consumption of alcohol and illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on the premises. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property. [ Food and Allergy Considerations ] Food must not be consumed in the playground area due to allergy and safety considerations associated with the childcare service operating onsite. Food may only be served in the hall and deck areas. [Key Collection and Induction Tour] An in-person induction tour is mandatory during the week of hire. The induction will cover venue access, facilities, emergency procedures and hire requirements. Access codes for the key lock boxes will be provided during the induction tour.
